A small piece of wood can also be used between the hammer and the exhaust tip edge. This is done from under the rear of the car. Small medium taps will start the factory tip sliding off the actual exhaust pipe. Secure the tip before it comes off the end of the pipe with your hand. Make sure to keep it straight to not damage the inner spring clips. The cutout must be facing straight or at 45º depending on where your alignment dowell is. Slide the BMS slip-on exhaust tip straight over the factory exhaust pipe. Carefully push the tip straight on until it stops. The tips should completly hide the pipe edge.
