The new Original M carbon-ceramic brake is a racing technique. The use of the high-tech recyclable materials carbon and ceramic increases the thermal load capacity even in extreme situations such as on the racetrack. The weight reduction of the brake disc has a positive effect on the fuel consumption and the agility of the M vehicle. Its long service life even slows down wear and tear.

• Novel carbon fibre composite ceramics: As a result, the brake discs are significantly more resistant to wear and a change is much less necessary.
• Better braking effect under extremely high load due to high and stable friction coefficient.
• 60% lighter than conventional brake discs: The reduced unsprung weight reduces the weight of the chassis and improves the road contact of the wheels.
• Accurate metering of braking power and agility when cornering by reducing mass moment of inertia.
• Even more resistance to decreasing braking due to high thermal load (fading) than with the standard built-in 6-piston fixed caliper brake with likewise ventilated and perforated cast brake discs.
• High corrosion resistance of the material and thus an extension of the service life of the brake discs.
• The BMW M carbon ceramic brake has been designed and tested according to internal requirements.

Tires: The vehicle must be carefully retracted for the first 200 km after installing the brake system! After the break-in period, the full effectiveness of the brake system is given. Due to the constructive peculiarity of the M carbon-ceramic brake, it can lead to functional noises when braking, but they have no influence on the stability of the brake discs!
