This kit is to replace the aging and often corroded hard lines which run down the sills of the car. The new flexible stainless steel brake lines replace the entire 3 metre hard lines on the car, which screw directly into the existing brake caliper flexible lines. The lines are also wrapped in heat sleeve, which protects them from the heat radiating from the coolant pipe which also runs down the sill.
