Please Note: NGK does not recommend applying copper grease to the threads of modern spark plugs. If this compound is applied, torque readings can be inaccurate by up to 20%. This can result in spark plug breakage at the thread, which is not covered by warranty. Trivalent plating is the silver finish on NGK plugs that is specifically developed to prevent corrosion of the bare metal threads and metal surfaces of the spark plug, whilst allowing dry fitment without the need for anti-seize compounds during services.
